1. Get a jar
2. Dress it up with ribbon or other embellishments
3. Give it a “skirt” equipped with tear-off slips of paper
4. Supply a pen
5. Write down the things for which you are thankful
6. Drop the slips into the jar.
This could be a month-long project. Our family is choosing to do it this pre-Thanksgiving week because I forgot to put the jar out earlier. If you plan to open up your home for a large gathering, it would also be an appropriate addition and something for your guests to do. Then, either before your meal, or as you and your guests are enjoying Aunt Martha’s pumpkin caramel pie, have someone read these little tidbits of thankfulness and be glad that you made it through another holiday without too much drama.
Thanks for stopping by, and try keep this Sunday simple. It’s what Sundays are for.

(I know it’s a prepositional ending, PPM. It just didn’t sound right any other way).
