My request is that you please patronize your local establishments. Whether it's a hardware store, restaurant, salon, or gallery, please invest your dollars with your neighbors. I read a great post about this very thing, and it hits home. Here's the link:
Well, it doesn't look like you can click directly on that. But please take the trouble to cut and paste it.
Okay, here is the other piece, White Lies, that I created, along with an accompanying poem.
12 x 12
Drapery glass, stained glass, shell, marble, porcelain
My world is white
My white knight
On white horse
Shielding me from the dark
From the confines
Of my little white house,
With protective white fence.
White oozes from my pores
Squeezed drip after ugly drip
Like the aftermath of one too many
It is toxic.
I am toxic.
The absence of hue?
And with that, the curtain closes on 2010. It was mostly Fabulous. But I sure hope 2011 brings a turn in the job market, real estate market, and other issues that have been looming and unsettled for too long. Have a Fabulous Friday and a Fabulous 2011.
