I am so thankful and appreciative of the fact that I get to live where I do. Daily, I am greeted by spectacular sunrises. This morning, I went out a little earlier with hopes to see the sun just as it was rising. Dang! I missed the shot. I could see through the trees that there was a sliver of pink fluffiness nestled between the horizon and the line of darker clouds. This sliver of dawn was punctuated by the fluorescent pink ball of the sun. By the time I got to the water to get a better shot, my chance was gone, as the sun was already playing hide and seek behind the clouds.
So, I continued along until I reached my usual photo taking/dog wading spot at the end of the road. But I had company…that apparently isn’t lazy! I could spot her gigantic zoom lens from 50 yards away. There she was clicking away, getting all the spectacularness that I couldn’t. Good for her!
I think her photos are great, and I think mine aren't that bad. I think it's wonderful that with barely any words, two strangers shared a beautiful start to a weekend. I love that art and nature almost always serve to not only lift one's own spirits but connect kindred souls to each other. Really, I love that.
Have a Fabulous Friday!
